Conducting Research
The Hill School of Business offers many opportunities for undergraduate students to get involved in research, including serving as a research assistant, or enrolling in a directed readings/selected topics course. More information can be found below.
Research Assistants. Faculty members are often looking for research assistants to help with ongoing research projects. Students should keep their eye open for job postings for research assistants. Also, if you would like to be a research assistant, reach out to specific faculty members to express your interest so that when and if an opportunity comes available they know you and your interest.
Directed Readings / Selected Topics. If a student has an interest in a particular area of study, they can approach a faculty member to see if the faculty member might be willing to supervise a directed readings course in that area of research. Approval for such courses are not guaranteed and are considered on a case by case basis by the Associate Dean Undergraduate in consultation with other employees and only if there is a Faculty of Business faculty member able and willing to do this.
