New Resources
A variety of new Gale primary resources have been added to the Library’s collection. A few of these include: 19th Century US Newspapers Digital Archive, Financial Times Historical Archives, Political Extremism and Radicalism in the Twentieth Century. All new and previously acquired Gale Primary Sources collections are available through a single cross-searchable interface Gale Primary Sources.
Archer Library has added the UR Pride Library collection to its Quick Find database listing under Women’s and Gender Studies. The collection consists of books and movies that are located and may be borrowed directly from the UR Pride Centre for Sexuality and Gender Diversity located in Riddell Centre.
Comfy chairs on the 4th and 5th floors
Last year, you gave us feedback on finding the perfect chair. Twenty-four of these comfy chairs arrived this summer and are now in place on the 4th and 5th floors. Enjoy incredible views and study or unplug while you plug in – your phone, tablet or laptop. *Note electrical and USB plug ins are located on poles behind the chairs*

Fine Policy changes
Effective September 15, overdue and lost charges have been revised for high demand items to ensure everyone has access to the materials they need when they need them. Reserve items will be subject to a $5 per hour overdue fine up to a maximum of $100. After 3 days past their due time, reserve items will be declared lost, and you will need to pay the cost of the lost item plus an additional $25 administration fee – as well as the overdue fines.
