Dr. Jacqueline Shumiatcher (arts patron and advocate) Shumiatcher is one of the foremost benefactors of the arts in Saskatchewan and an active supporter of a wide range of arts organizations from the Globe Theatre, New Dance Horizons, the Regina Symphony Orchestra and the Mackenzie Art Gallery to Regina’s new Creative City Centre and amateur organizations like Regina Little Theatre. She is the recipient of Regina’s Community Volunteer Award (2000) and the Saskatchewan Order of Merit (2001). In 2014 she was awarded the YWCA Women of Distinction Lifetime Achievement Award.
