Dr. Val Mulholland
Former Associate Dean, Student Services and Undergraduate Programs
Associate Professor – Language and Literacy Education – retired June 30, 2020 after 21 years in the Faculty of Education
On June 30, 2020, Valerie Mulholland is retiring after 21 years in the Faculty of Education. Her affiliation with the faculty extends to the 1980s; over the years she was a student, sessional instructor, seconded teacher, and finally an Associate Professor in English Education. For six years she served as the Associate Dean of Undergraduate Programs and Student Services, a role that required both a new perspective and a new set of skills, a good way to finish a career in Education. In July, she begins a two-year term on the Board of Directors of the Museums Association of Saskatchewan, launching the next phase of life, being an enthusiastic community volunteer. Val is grateful for the opportunities she enjoyed at the University of Regina and wishes the best for her former colleagues. Teacher education is important work, and she is glad to have played a part.
