Miranda Field is an internationally recognized and award winning teacher who is devoted to local, provincial, national and global education. As a wife, mother, teacher and grad student, Miranda’s unwavering consistency and passion toward the field of education allows her to be a worthy nominee. While completing her Masters of Education, Miranda has developed a curriculum that works toward empowering a sense of belonging within a trauma-informed classroom through expressive arts therapies. This curriculum combines current academic research and the need for trauma intervention within the diverse Saskatchewan classrooms. This program allows all students, regardless of academic ability, language or economic circumstances to develop their identity within the classroom and create a place to belong. Pending publication, this curriculum will be available for use within thousands of schools.
