THEORY and METHOD SEMINAR: Invitation to present at Fall 2015 Seminars

Dear faculty, sessional instructors, grad students, and educational partners:

We are now scheduling for the Fall 2015 Theory and Method Seminar series and we invite you to present a seminar.

Theory and Method:
The Theory and Methods Seminars Series aims to support grad students. It is also a seminar that can help keep faculty up-to-date on emerging methodologies. Please indicate by reply to this email that you would be willing to present a seminar. Please include the theory/method on which you will be presenting.

Researchers (Faculty/Sessional/Grad Students):
Whether you are a grad student doing research to complete your program, or a faculty member working on research, the Theory and Method Seminar offers a forum for you to present your findings, reflections, lessons learned, or outcomes. It is also a forum for engaging in discussion with colleagues about the research you are currently doing. We invite all who are currently working on research or who have completed their research to submit your request to present by replying to this email.

Educational Initiatives: (Teachers, Administrators, Policy Makers, Educational Partners …)
Participants of Theory and Method Seminars are also interested in hearing about new educational initiatives. If you are currently involved in a new educational initiative, please consider presenting a seminar.

The seminars are held on: Wednesdays ~ 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. New Location: ED 341

If you are interested in presenting or if you have a topic or speakers you would like to suggest be included in the seminar line-up, please contact Shuana at shuana.niessen@uregina.ca

Please respond by July 31 with an email that includes:

~the title of the presentation,
~name/s of all presenter/s (include short bio and contact info for each)
~audiovisual equipment needed,
~preferred date or month of presentation (Sept 16 – Dec 2)
~abstract

Note: Because our seminars are advertised to our educational partners and general public, it is best to provide the title and presenter information at the time of submission and to confirm details when requested, so that we can market the seminars in a timely way.

You will receive a tentative schedule once all the openings have been filled or after the response deadline has passed.

Sincerely,

Shuana Niessen
Theory and Method Seminar Coordinator/Host
