I joined EGSA on September 2016 and I volunteered for Faculty Council Representative, Faculty Coop Committee, and Interim President to take over from the graduated president till the annual election. I am currently working on my MASc in Petroleum Systems Engineering, and my research is focused on quantifying tracer data with production data to optimize tracer and fracture operations. As VP Communications, I will try my best to make sure that the voices of students are heard, and expectations are met. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions or concerns. Hi friends,
I am Shayan Jamil, a graduate student at the University of Regina. I am the peanut butter flavour and the save centre for the last, kind of guy. Studying Environmental systems is a measure to fulfil my passion for helping make this world a better place to live in addition to helping improve the drinking water quality and its access to people. My motivation to serve as VP External Relations on the EGSA is to help make the educational journey of our graduate students more memorable and fun while improving access to the right opportunities.
My top priorities as an EGSA executive:
• Improve the industry and academia collaboration
• Encourage student participation in skill development events
• Elevate the academic experience for international and local students

Hi friends,
My name is Edgar Alexis, I’m a second-year M.Eng in Petroleum Systems student. I worked in the oil industry for 5 years before coming to Canada. During that time, I had the opportunity to take the lead on some projects in Mexico and also in Latin America. Improving the engineering graduate student’s life academically and socially speaking is my main motivation to be part of the UR EGSA. During my free time, I like to read about car repair and maintenance.

I am Gizem, a graduate student in Industrial Systems Engineering at the University of Regina. My research focus areas are Inventory Management, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Optimization, and Simulation. I joined EGSA in February 2019 as a member at large. My special interests are music, books, history, travelling and movies. I have become part of this society so that I can make some contribution in this society. I believed that EGSA helps me to develop myself when we develop our society in UofR.
