SPAR (Saskatchewan Partnership for Arts Research)
is a community-university partnership formed by three of Saskatchewan's major arts organizations and the University of Regina. The partnership was formed in order to undertake research that could provide artists and their communities with a better understanding of the role of the arts and creativity in the social, cultural and economic fabric of the province. This research is also intended to facilitate evidence-based program and policy making that will benefit both artists and their communities. The first research project currently being undertaken by SPAR is Understanding the Arts Ecology of Saskatchewan.
