More great news! We have a new self-checkout machine (well, an iPad really) on the main floor – a much simpler and more streamlined interface than the old one. Give it a try next time you’re signing out books from us – it’s opposite the Help Desk, at the column with the curved seating.
We’re back for another installment of the Association of Canadian Archivists’ Hashtag party. Today’s theme is #ArchivesBeaches. Many people in southern Saskatchewan head to the beautiful Qu’Appelle Valley to cool off during the lazy days of summer and have been doing so for many decades. This photo was taken during a Fort Qu’Appelle Summer School activity at Echo Lake in the Summer of ’69.
Travel back in time this summer! Check out some recently digitized photographs from our Archives that depict scenes from Europe, North America and Central America in the 1930s. These photos are part of our Theodore A. Heinrich Collection.

A seldom-seen image from the University of Regina Archives, taken in the ’70s during the time of College West’s construction. The Archer Library (prior to its current naming) along with the Classroom and Laboratory Buildings, can be seen in the background. And in the foreground: some very cool era-specific cars!
