Views From The Library – The Sea Of Sheet Music
Liszt, Tchaikovsky and Bach, oh my! Did you know that Archer Library has a LOT of sheet music? We adore our music students and Faculty, BUT you don’t have to be registered in a music class to borrow music from the library! Like most items in our collection, you just need to be a registered student, staff member, faculty member or public access user to borrow an item. There is a huge range of pieces available from piano music and string quartets, to larger orchestral scores for in-library viewing. We also have an amazing recorded music collection to boot! If your jam is Gershwin or Gounod, we’ve got you covered!
Check out our music LibGuide to help you navigate our collection! https://uregina.libguides.com/music

Toni Morrison

The world lost one of its literacy greats this week with the passing of author Toni Morrison. Several online obituaries have appeared that celebrate her remarkable life and literacy work. The best way to know Morrison, though, is to read her books. If you have never read Morrison, or want to revisit some of your favourites, most are available at the University of Regina Library.
Billy Eilish and Drake in the Archer Library
Really… Swaraj Jaiswal a talented student visited the Archer Library on July the 17th and and 18th and created some awesome drawings. Come to the Archway Exhibit space (on the main floor of the Archer Library) to admire these drawings in person.

Art in the Archer Alcove -4-
Thank you Swaraj Jaiswal for creating this beautiful drawing in the Archer Alcove… And check out Swaraj’s Sketches YouTube channel. To experience this drawing just walk past the elevators on the main floor to discover the Archer Alcove. Take a break from studying and use this “chill zone” for colouring, creating art on chalk walls, and walking on the desk treadmill.
