International Inuit Day

Today, November 7th, is International Inuit Day, when we celebrate the rich and diverse cultures of Inuit peoples from the Arctic and Sub-Arctic regions of Canada, Greenland, Alaska, and Russia.

The University is proud to include Inuit sculptures, prints and textiles in its art collection. Comment below if you recognize this print by Kananginak Pootoogook!

Highlighting APEGS contributions to the Library’s collection

Did you know? Generous annual funding from the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Saskatchewan (APEGS) supports the collections of the University of Regina Library. The APEGS Past Presidents Library Grant has enabled significant resource purchasing, above and beyond what our regular budget makes possible. This means that engineering, geology, and related subject areas have a wide variety of up-to-date information resources.

Now, a searchable digital library of titles purchased with APEGS funding is available. Browse APEGS contributed titles, or search by title or author to see items available at the Dr. John Archer Library.

APEGS members external to the University of Regina also benefit from our collections and services! Any APEGS member may obtain a free library card to borrow items from the Library.
