Members of the PA-Epi lab are interested in exploring physical activity (PA) and sedentary behaviour (SB) at the population level, in both healthy and clinical populations and sub-populations, across the lifespan from childhood through to older adulthood. Research includes describing PA and SB trends in the population, identifying correlates and determinants of PA and SB, and investigations into associations with cardiometabolic, psychosocial, and health-related quality of life outcomes. Answers to unique research questions are sought both using large pre-existing databases for secondary analyses, as well as through primary data collection.
