The President’s Teaching and Learning Scholars Research Showcase will
take place:
Wednesday, April 2, 2014
3:00 – 5:00 PM

The President’s Teaching and Learning Scholars program is now in its
eighth year and has helped nearly 50 academic faculty as principal
investigators work on projects designed to enhance teaching and
learning
at the University of Regina. These grant holders have done innovative
work in areas ranging from the use and adaptation of new technologies
in
teaching to studies of the factors affecting student retention and
success. Each project has had its own individual focus, and together
they have created new and innovative learning opportunities that have
contributed a great deal to the culture of learning at the University
of
Regina.

You will have the opportunity to hear from the following 2012-13

Development and evaluation of an instructor toolkit of
pedagogical strategies for student transition and engagement in
introductory courses.

Tobias Sperlich, Department of Anthropology
Face to face teaching and blended teaching in large introductory
classes: A comparison of two approaches

Power & the Classroom: Countering Oppression and Privilege Through
Course Instruction and Design
