EDCAMPYQR – PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT OPPORTUNITY

#EdCampYQR – Professional Development Opportunity – Saturday, April 5,
2014

9:00 am – 12:00 p.m. @ Campus Regina Public

EdTech and more!

We are pleased to host another engaging PD opportunity for Regina and
area educators (teachers, staff, administrators, librarians,
consultants, educational assistants… all are welcome!). On Saturday,
April 5th, from 9:00 am – 12:00 p.m. , teachers and staff from K-12 and
beyond are invited to join colleagues from multiple school divisions at
Campus Regina Public (formerly Cochrane High School). This self-directed
professional development opportunity allows educators from all grade
levels and areas of expertise to come together in a series of targeted
discussions and sessions around areas of interest. While the focus may
be on the use of educational technology, the conversations will evolve
to support you in what you need in your role.

An “edcamp” is a professional development opportunity unlike any other;
it’s an “unconference” where the sessions are decided the day of the
event, driven by participant interest and need. Anyone can present and
anyone can lead a discussion. Participants are encouraged to bring
something to share – a tool, a trick, something that has worked for you
in the classroom, or may choose to lead a session around a content area
or around an area related to teaching / instructional practice. We
encourage you to follow the “law of two feet” – if the session doesn’t
meet your needs, get up and move to a session that does. Better yet,
lead a session around an area that you are comfortable with or even
start a conversations about something you want to learn more about!

Last year’s #EdCamp received rave reviews as participants left pleased
with the PD that is given by educators, for educators. Be a part of this
amazing opportunity that will allow you do what you do best.
