CSTM Student Paper Prize
The CSTM student paper prizes will be awarded to the best papers presented by students, one for a paper presented in English and one for a paper presented in French. Interested students will submit an electronic version of their conference paper to the CSTM secretary by June 10th for consideration by the adjudication committee. The students who win the prizes will be invited to submit their papers for consideration for publication in MUSICultures. The value of each award is $100.
IASPM Student Paper Prize
IASPM-Canada is pleased to offer a prize for the best paper presented by a graduate student at its annual conference. This prize was introduced in 2008 to reward excellence in the work of graduate student members of the organization. The prize is presented at the General Meeting of the conference, and all students presenting papers at the conference are eligible for consideration.
A prize is conferred on the best paper by a graduate student in French, and also on the best paper by a graduate student in English. Interested students should submit their papers for consideration (along with any other materials such as sound files or powerpoint slides) by email to Dr. Jacqueline Warwick, Chair, Student Paper Prize Committee, at jwarwick@dal.ca. Other committee members include William Echard (Carleton University), Line Grenier (Universite de Montreal) and Peter Narvaez (Memorial University of Newfoundland). The deadline for consideration is Friday, May 7. The value of each award is $250.
