VIDEO: Does social media matter?

In the above video Kathleen McNutt explores the potential of social media to improve public engagement, while also examining the tensions between classic Web 1.0 and emerging Web 2.0 governance paradigms. She is an associate professor and graduate chair at the Johnson-Shoyama Graduate School of Public Policy and associate member in the Department of Political Studies at the University of Regina.

    It’s a little telling that it took 2 days for the first Web 2.0 interaction to happen with this blog post. Social Media isn’t everyone’s interest I guess.
