RESOLVE Saskatchewan is part of Research and Education for Solutions to Violence and Abuse (RESOLVE), a tri-prairie research network that co-ordinates and supports research aimed at ending violence, especially violence involving girls and women. The RESOLVE network is funded by the PrairieAction Foundation and is affiliated with the University of Alberta, University of Calgary, University of Regina, University of Saskatchewan, University of Manitoba, University of Winnipeg, and Brandon University.

LOOKING FOR A NEW PROJECT
COORDINATOR IN THE REGINA OFFICE

Job Posting – Project Coordinator, RESOLVE Saskatchewan

Reporting to RESOLVE Saskatchewan’s Academic Coordinator, this position is responsible for the management of the RESOLVE Saskatchewan office and will provide research support for the Academic Coordinator’s research program.  In consultation with the Academic Coordinator and RESOLVE Saskatchewan’s Steering Committee, the incumbent will: 

·         be a self-starter, an independent thinker, and an effective problem solver;

·         act as liaison to the University of Regina, Luther College, RESOLVE’s Director, and the funder, with regards to all financial transactions and ensuring all reporting is complete, accurate, and submitted in a timely manner;

·         develop and maintain yearly budgets based on funding from the Prairieaction Foundation, the University of Regina, and any active research projects;

·         act as office manager for a one person office, ensuring it runs smoothly and within the guidelines of the University of Regina and Luther College, purchasing equipment and supplies, acting upon emails and mail, maintaining the unit’s website, keeping up to date with training and policy decisions, etc.;

·         in consultation with the Academic Coordinator, hire and supervise employees, including student assistants;

·         provide research support for the Academic Coordinator and RESOLVE Saskatchewan in general, including the development budgets for proposals, managing all aspects of the budget and administration of funds, as well as management support for meetings, focus groups, etc.;

·         in consultation with the Academic Coordinator, act as secretary to the Steering Committee including setting meetings and agendas, providing secretarial support by taking minutes, arranging venues and catering, and acting on any motions from the Committee;

·         with input from the Academic Coordinator and the Steering Committee, act as Conference Facilitator for the Tri-Annual RESOLVE Research Day (for which you may receive a stipend), including inviting speakers, contacting presenters, registering participants, making all venue, catering and technical arrangements, ensuring all details are in place for a successful event; and

·         be able to work flexible hours and travel depending on the work volume and the needs of the unit.

 hours of Work:

This is a part-time position (up to a maximum of 20 hours per week, but usually in the office for 7-10) for one year, beginning April 1, 2019, with the possibility of renewal.

 Salary:

Starting salary is $1,800 per month including holiday pay.  No benefits except CPP and EI are attached to this position.
