MAXQDA RESEARCH GRANTS 2018

APPLICATION DEADLINE: June 1st 2018
Eligibility Requirements
• The applicant must currently be an undergraduate, postgraduate, or PhD – student/candidate enrolled at a higher learning institution (college, university, trade school, etc.).
• The applicant must be conducting, or be about to conduct, qualitative or mixed methods fieldwork based on community-engagement.
• The fieldwork will begin by September 30th, 2018.
• The applicant will be using MAXQDA software to analyze their research data.
No previous MAXQDA experience necessary.

SIGA Justice Paul Favel Indigenous Award

The Saskatchewan Indian Gaming Authority is pleased to offer the Justice Paul Favel Indigenous Award for Outstanding Leadership in Community Involvement scholarship of $5,000, which will be presented to an Indigenous student in a full-time academic program, who is studying at the Saskatchewan Indian Institute of Technologies, First Nations University of Canada, University of Saskatchewan, University of Regina, Saskatchewan Polytechnic, or Gabriel Dumont Institute.

All documents must be submitted via email to Scholarships@siga.sk.ca no later than 11:59 p.m. Saskatchewan time, on May 13, 2018.

2018 3MT Western Regional Finals

The Faculty of Graduate Studies & Research is excited to host the 3MT (Three Minute Thesis) Western Regional Finals.

Friday, April 27, 2018 1:00 p.m. – 4:30 p.m.

Location: Research and Innovation Centre (RIC 119)

Graduate Students from across western Canada will be presenting their research in everyday language in under three minutes. It is an excellent opportunity to see what kind of research is being done in western Canada right now.

Links to the livestream and online voting will be made available.

The event is open to the public (Free parking available in Lot 1) and there is a reception to follow.

The winners of this competition advance to Nationals.

HDR Scholarship – Enriching Math & Science Learning

A PhD scholarship is available in Deakin University’s School of Education, Faculty of Arts and Education (Australia). The PhD student will initiate and conduct research on the topic “Enriching mathematics and science learning: An interdisciplinary approach” led by Prof Russell Tytler.

The successful applicant will be based at the Melbourne Burwood Campus (Burwood, Australia; 30 minutes from Melbourne, Australia).

The closing date for applications is April 30, 2018.
