Students Mobilizing Against Cuts (SMAC)

Students Mobilizing Against Cuts (SMAC) is holding a rally and march on March 30th at 12:00 (Noon) from Victoria Park to the Legislative Building. The aim of this march is to highlight the budget cuts. We as SMAC, are encouraging students, community members, faculty to all be part of our campaign.

However, as this event may impact classes, students are advised to let their professor know ahead of time if they are planning on attending.

The Faculty of Education and UR International are excited to invite you to the presentation “Higher Education System in Belgium” led by Ms. Leen Alaerts on Tuesday, March 14 from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Education Building 558, Main Campus of the University of Regina.

Ms. Leen Alaerts is a Lecturer, an International Officer and a Practitioner Researcher with Teacher Education at University Colleges Leuven-Limburg (UCLL), Belgium.

The presentation includes an overview of the Belgian Higher Education System; brief information about the faculties and programs of the University Colleges Leuven-Limburg, as well as their research projects, educational practices, and international experience.
