Research Options

Graduate students have a number of options to pursue research while completing their program. If you have questions about any of the options below contact either the Program Lead Research, Dr. Magda Cismaru and/or the Levene Program Advisor Heidi Eger.

Research Assistantships and Funded Research

Faculty members are often looking for research assistants to help with ongoing research projects. Students should keep their eye open for job postings for research assistants. Also, if you would like to be a research assistant, reach out to specific faculty members to express your interest so that when and if an opportunity comes available they know you and your interest. There are also external funding opportunities for students interested in pursuing research related endeavours. For example, Mitacs offers a number of options for funded student research – see here for more information https://www.mitacs.ca/en/programs/accelerate

Directed Readings & Selected Topics

If a student has an interest in a particular area of study, they can approach a faculty member to see if the faculty member might be willing to supervise a directed readings in that area of research. Approval for such courses are not guaranteed and are considered on a case by case basis by the Levene Office and only if there is a Faculty of Business faculty member able and willing to do this.
